This project has concluded with Planning Proposal 14 - Minor Amendment to Schedule 1 being adopted by Council on 28/11/2018
At its Ordinary meeting held on 27 July 2018, Council resolved to seek a Gateway Determination from the Minister of Planning in relation to a proposed Planning Proposal to amend the wording of Item 12 in Schedule 1 of the Bellingen Local Environmental Plan (BLEP) 2010 by removing the time limit for lodgment of a development application for a dwelling house.
The intended outcome of Planning Proposal 14 is to enable the erection of a dwelling house on proposed Lot 2 of Lot 1 DP1078804, 54 Wollumbin Drive, Urunga.
On 17 September 2018, a delegate of the Minister of Planning determined under section 3.34(2) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (‘the Act’) to issue a Gateway Determination to proceed with Planning Proposal 14 (PP_2018_BELLI_001_00). The Minister of Planning also authorised Council to exercise its functions as a local-plan making authority under section 3.36(2) of the Actsubject to conditions. In accordance with the Ministers determination and Council’s resolution, Planning Proposal 14 is being placed on public exhibition for comment.
The Planning Proposal will be available for viewing at the Council Customer Service Centre Bellingen, the Bellingen and Urunga Libraries and online at: https://create.bellingen.nsw.gov.au/ from Thursday 27 September 2018 until Friday 12 October 2018. Council invites interested parties to make a written submission regarding the Planning Proposal.
