Consultation has concluded
Bellingen Shire Council, supported by the Memorial Hall Management Committee and various community groups, is applying for a grant from the NSW Regional Cultural Fund for projects that 'enable bold, exciting and diverse arts and cultural activities'.
Our application proposes to upgrade and expand the Bellingen Memorial Hall to become a community centre for Arts, Screen and Culture that offers new and expanded facilities, capacity, infrastructure, resources and above all: new opportunities.
On the design table for the application is a new supper & workshop area, an additional performance/rehearsal/cinema space, new green room/visual arts area, new change facilities, upgraded seating and lighting, updated accessible access, improved amenities and improved general facilities.
Whilst we have consulted with numerous community groups and users, we wanted to get a broader view of the application by answering a number of questions. Your answers will help to inform our conceptual design and the application.
Please complete the survey below before the closing date of 14 September 2018.
If the application succeeds, we will be conducting a more thorough consultation with the general community to develop the more detailed design.
