What changes have occurred?
A Development Control Plan (DCP) provides detailed planning and design guidelines for all types of development across the Shire.
Council has reviewed and updated the Bellingen Shire Development Control Plan (adopted in 2010).
The preparation of the draft DCP involved updating standards and references, removing controls now covered by other legislation/codes/policies, reducing repetition and deleting or replacing ineffective or onerous controls.
The draft DCP deleted Chapter 13 – Food Premises, Chapter 14 – Equity of Access and Chapter 15 – Development in Mylestom and included these four additional chapters:

The DCP 2017 will be reported to Council, seeking adoption, at the Ordinary Council Meeting of 22 November 2017, to be held at 6pm at the Bellingen Council Chambers at 33-39 Hyde Street Bellingen.
Following review of submissions received during the public exhibition process, several minor amendments have been made to the exhibited version of DCP 2017.
