Bellingen Shire Council is forward planning for the environmental, social and economic impacts our Shire will face in the months and years ahead and to do that, we need to create and train a skilled network of local leaders from within our community and Council and provide them with the opportunity to develop collaborative strategies for our Shire’s recovery.

That is why Council is pleased to offer you the opportunity to become one of those leaders, by registering your interest towards securing one of fifteen Council funded community scholarships to undertake two micro subjects towards a Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership & Resilience with Charles Sturt University.

Thanks to Council’s collaboration with the Mid North Coast Joint Organisation and Charles Sturt University, you now have the opportunity to be part of the Mid North Coast Community Leadership and Resilience Network cohort that will focus its combined efforts on meeting the challenges our Shire faces.

To be selected as a member of the network, you need to:

•Be a resident of Bellingen Shire

•Be willing to join and commit to the Mid North Coast Community Leadership and Resilience Network

•Be able to dedicate personal time to commence online studies from Monday 29 June with Charles Sturt University.

As a member of the Mid North Coast Community Leadership and Resilience Network you will take part in a dedicated study group that will work through two scholarship subjects that will assist the network to identify regional priorities and create solutions for the Mid North Coast Region.
