Bellingen Shire Council is reviewing its current Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2014 -17. The new plan will be known as the Bellingen Shire Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) and will identify four key focus areas:

  1. developing positive community attitudes and behaviours,
  2. creating liveable communities,
  3. supporting access to meaningful employment and
  4. improving access to services through better systems and processes.

  • Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2017-21 on exhibition

    On 26 April 2017 Council resolved to place the Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2017-21 on public exhibition and that written submissions be invited for consideration by Council.

    The plan will be on public exhibition from Friday 28 April 2017 until 4.00pm Monday 29 May 2017 and can be downloaded from the document library on the right of your screen or hard copies can be found at Council Administrative Centre, Hyde Street Bellingen and the Bellingen, Dorrigo and Urunga Libraries.

    Written submission regarding the documents. must be made by 4.00pm on Monday 29 May 2017 and addressed to The General Manager, Bellingen Shire Council, PO Box 117, Bellingen NSW 2454 or via email to: council@bellingen.nsw.gov.au
