Consultation has concluded
Bellingen Shire Council is reviewing its current Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2014 -17. The new plan will be known as the Bellingen Shire Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) and will identify four key focus areas:
developing positive community attitudes and behaviours,
creating liveable communities,
supporting access to meaningful employment and
improving access to services through better systems and processes.

Bellingen Shire Playgrounds Committee envisages that all the playgrounds in the Bellingen Shire will be accessible playgrounds and inclusive for people of all abilities and all ages, as well as to the carers who support their participation in community.
The Bellingen Shire Disability Inclusion Action Plan has finished this stage
On 26 April 2017 Council resolved to place the Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2017-21 on public exhibition and that written submissions be invited for consideration by Council.
Submission will be received until 4.00pm Monday 29 May 2017.
