Expressions of Interest sought for Public Art Works in Church Street North

Bellingen Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced artists/artist teams for the design and provision of 3 original public artworks as part of the Church Street Upgrade Works.
Art works need to reflect the creative themes identified in the Bellingen Shire Public Art Plan link and feature:-
A strong visual focal point for pedestrians – leading people into Church Street
A celebration of Bellingen’s strong environmental ethos
Sculptural, dynamic, high quality craftsmanship
Be sited so the work can be enjoyed from a range of locations
Strong and long lasting materials, low maintenance
In addition, consideration of hazards and safety issues need to be taken into account.
The dimensions of the artworks and submission requirements are outlined in the Submission Details document located in the Document Library of this project.
Expressions of Interest for group submissions proposing rotational art works will be strongly supported ie 'Sculptures by Bello' proposal.
