Town Centre Car Parking Strategies

Council is developing a car parking strategy for Urunga, Bellingen and Dorrigo town centres. The draft Strategy was reported to the Council Meeting on 26 September 2018. (see Document Library).

The strategy aims to present opportunities and alternatives to improve parking turnover, manage demand and identify options to increase parking supply. A survey of all existing parking was undertaken and Council sought community input via an online survey between Monday 21 May to Wednesday 6 June 2018.

The survey was also available at Council’s Administrative Centre and the Bellingen, Dorrigo and Urunga Libraries.

    Council resolved at its Meeting held on 26 September 2018 to publicly exhibit the Draft Bellingen Shire Council Town Centre Parking Strategy.

    The Parking Strategy can be accessed in the Document Library of this project. Copies can also be viewed at Council's Administration Building, as well as the Dorrigo, Bellingen and Urunga Libraries.

    Interested community members can lodge online submissions by email to council@bellingen.nsw.gov.au. Alternatively written (hardcopy) submissions relating to the Strategy should be addressed to: The General Manager, Bellingen Shire Council, PO Box 117, Bellingen NSW 2454.

    Submissions close at 4.00pm on Wednesday 19 December 2018.
